Find out which details you can update on your expat health insurance policy, and how to make each change.

Once your expat health insurance policy is scheduled or active, several details can be updated, including your name, date of birth and email address. Some of these changes require supporting documents.

How do I change my name on my policy?

How we handle a name change depends on whether your policy has already started.

  • Before your start date: You'll need to sign up for a new policy with the correct name, then cancel your old policy using the reason "I have another health insurance." Since your old policy hasn't started yet, you'll automatically receive a full refund (it may take a few business days to appear in your bank account).

  • After your start date: Please contact our support team for more assistance. To process the change, we'll need a copy of your ID to verify the new name. Once we have that, we'll update your policy and all associated documents to reflect it.

How do I correct my date of birth (DOB) on my policy?

How we handle a date of birth correction depends on whether your policy has already started.

  • Before your start date: You'll need to sign up for a new policy with the correct date of birth, then cancel your old policy using the reason "I have another health insurance." Since your old policy hasn't started yet, you'll automatically receive a full refund (it may take a few business days to appear in your bank account).

  • After your start date: Please contact our support team for more assistance. To process the change, we'll need a copy of your ID to verify the correct date of birth. Once we have that, we'll update your policy and all associated documents to reflect it.

How do I update other details I provided during sign-up, like my citizenship or arrival date?

Some answers provided during sign-up can't be changed directly in your account. You'll need to contact our support team, who will process the update on our end. The documents we need depend on what you're updating:

  • Citizenship: a copy of your passport showing the correct citizenship.

  • Arrival date: a copy of a travel ticket (flight, train, or similar) confirming your updated arrival date in the country.

  • Last permanent residency: a document confirming the dates of your residency in that country.

Can I update the email address linked to my policy?

Yes, you can update your email address by following the instructions detailed in our dedicated FAQ.
