Our long term expat health insurance is available to applicants up until they turn 71 years of age.

However, from the age of 65-71, there is a different application process, which we detail below:

For applicants aged 65-70years, they must complete the Full Medical Underwriting (FMU) application

This is a specific application form which contains a medical questionnaire. Subject to that medical questionnaire there are 4 underwriting outcomes;

  1. No personal medical exclusions and standard pricing

  2. No personal medical exclusions and loaded pricing (loaded to cover their pre-existing medical conditions)

  3. Personal medical exclusions applied and standard pricing

  4. Decline to offer coverage

Where can I obtain this form?

If you are aged 65-70 years and would like to apply, please reach out to our team so we can assist you further.

How long does the process take?

Generally our underwriting reviews can take 2-3 business days on average from the time we receive a completed application.

We may however ask for extra information such as medical reports to help in our assessment, in such cases the review will be completed within a few business days of received the medical reports.

Can I still apply once if I am 70 years of age?

Yes, ages 65-70 are still able to submit an application for review. However from the age of 71, it is no longer possible to sign up to our long term expat health policy.

What happens if I've signed up for long term expat health and then afterwards turn 71?

As long as you signed up and your policy commenced before the age of 71, then you have the right to stay indefinitely on the policy.
