Managing your communication preferences

Learn how to manage your email communication preferences in your account, including events, promotions, payment reminders, and more.

We let you manage your email communication preferences from your Feather account. You can choose to receive all emails or only specific categories such as events, promotions, surveys and product testing, Feather Insights, product and feature updates, and payment reminders.

How do I update my communication preferences?

To update your communication preferences:

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. Open your Account page.

  3. Select Communication.

  4. Toggle the categories you want to enable or disable, or use "Get all emails" to enable all categories at once.

What email categories can I opt in to or out of?

Your communication preferences include the following categories:

  • Get all emails: enables all email categories at once with a single toggle

  • Events: stay informed about upcoming webinars and meetups

  • Promotions: receive the latest deals and promotional offers

  • Surveys and product testing: get invited to participate in user research and beta testing

  • Feather insights: receive tips and how-tos for expat life and insurance

  • Product and feature updates: be the first to hear about new insurances, early access, and feature improvements

  • Payment reminders: receive a monthly email with an overview of your insurance premiums before your card or PayPal is charged. Enable this option if you want to be notified before upcoming policy payments. Note that payments are still automatically withdrawn on the 1st of each month regardless of this setting.

Will I still receive some emails even if I opt out?

Yes. Regardless of your communication preferences, we will always send you important information about your insurance policies, as well as service announcements and terms, privacy, and security updates.
