Viewing your expat policy information and documents in your Feather account

Learn how to access your expat health policy details, what information is shown, which documents are available, and what actions you can take directly from your policy page.

All policy information is available in the policies section of your Feather account. The policy details page shows your policy status, policy number, insured person, and start date. From this page, you can also open your digital insurance card, add dependents, cancel your policy, view recent claims, and access your policy and visa-related documents.

How do I access my policy details in my Feather account?

You can access your policy details by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Feather account.

  2. Open the policies section.

  3. Select your expat health insurance policy to view its details.

What information is shown on my policy details page?

The policy details page displays the following information about your coverage:

  • Your policy status and policy number

  • Your monthly premium

  • The name of the insured person

  • Your policy start date

  • Your digital insurance card

  • Recent claims and the current status of each claim

  • Your policy documents and any visa-related documents

What documents are available in my Feather account after signing up?

Your supporting documents are available in your account as soon as you sign up. The following documents are included:

  • Visa compliance confirmation letter (sometimes called Letter to the Immigration office, depending on where you are insured): this is the document you'll need to present to the local authorities. The letter contains is both in the local language and in English.

  • Expat Health EU confirmation of coverage in English and German (this is only for your records and not needed for official purposes)

  • Insurance conditions in English

We only provide digital versions of these documents, but you are welcome to print them if you need physical copies for your visa or residence permit appointment.

If you need an updated insurance certificate with new dates for your visa renewal, please contact us, since we only provide them upon request.

Can I use my expat health insurance documents for address verification?

Your expat health insurance documents cannot be used for address verification. Your address does not appear on any policy documents or receipts, and it cannot be added, since these documents are generated automatically and cannot be amended. For address verification, use your residence registration, a home insurance policy, or a utility or phone bill instead. For accounting purposes, use your invoices together with your bank's transaction statements.

What actions can I take from my policy details page?

The policy details page lets you manage several aspects of your policy directly:

  • Open and download your digital insurance card

  • Add dependents to your policy

  • Cancel your policy or your dependents'

  • Reach out for help with your coverage
